Karen's nest
Maggie Moo down in the roots...

It began under my bed when I was about three. It covered every inch of my dorm room floor in college. And it spread throughout all the rooms of my first I'm-an-adult-now apartment. Then it burst the seams of each duffle bag I packed into my car. In a bigger nest, for two, it grew to fill once cavernous nooks and crannies. Now it has its own special place, in twice the hoped-for size. And now we are three. It is partially leaves and twigs and sticks and soft mystery fibers. But not wholly. It is my stuff. My collections. My space.
My nest.
